Review: OPI nail lacquer July 22, 2008

I bought OPI nail lacquer in “St Pertersburgundy” from the Kirk’s Sale recently - for only $12!!

I hadn’t tried OPI before, but it is the brand a lot of professional nail technicians use, if that counts for anything.

The colour on my nails was a lot better than I expected from the bottle. It’s far more blood red than the burgundy I expected - which is good because I only chose the burgundy because they didn’t have any reds in the sale.

It’s quite easy to apply. The consistency is smooth and doesn’t glug up quickly like others I’ve used. And it’s been a full 24 hours since application and no chips!

I have “Midnight in Moscow”, which I love, but on my very weak and bendy nails, it does chip awfully fast!

Nice polish job! OPI have a great range of colours aye, and your manicure can last for ages or at least until you decide you want a new colour!!

I like OPI, first bought it for my wedding nail polish (they have a range with wedding-inspired names which I totally fell for). I find them very long-lasting and easy to apply, and the colours are fab, although due to price I only own two (the wedding-y one which is a sort of pearl colour, can’t remember the name, and Shanghai Shimmer).

There’s a seller on trademe who sells OPI nailpolish for like, $14 - $16 per nailpolish. gorgeous_nails is her username, i found that she was the only person I was able to get yoga-ta-get this blue from, cos it was sold out at farmers and every pharmacy i went to.
