My favourite beauty product right now is my MAC eyeshdow called Smut. It’s a dark taupe colour with lovely texture. Taupe is a particularly good colour for eyes because it compliments most skin tones – light taupe is great for faired-haired beauties, and dark taupe is great for dark-toned darlings. Rather than go for black or brown for brow colours, look for taupe.
Anyway, Smut is so good because it’s a one-stop-shop kind of product. In the picture below I’ve used almost exclusively Smut.
- Used with angle brush to create eyeliner on top.
- Blended into upper crease and lower lashline.
- Used with angle brush in the brows.

okay so I am a pretty pretty pretty blog lurker. Thanks to your posts about Mac, I decided on the eve of turning 40 I need a new make up look. I went into Kirks today and went straight to the Mac counter and one of the cool assistants behind the counter recommended an eyeliner to play up my eyes. She spent some time with me wasn’t pushy and had some great advice for me. It was great!! I am going to book in for a makeover on the day of my birthday and I think they may have a new Mac follower on thier hands. BTW when I go back I will be letting them know its thanks to this blog that I ended up there. Thanks a lot ladies ( you inspired me).
