Win tickets to Civil Offence!

October 5th, 2009 by johubris Leave a reply »

Thanks to the lovely Thigh Voltage, we have a double pass to give away to Civil Offence Roller Derby which is happening this Saturday from 6pm at the TSB Arena. We’ll draw it Friday morning so that in case you don’t win, you’ll still have plenty of time to get your tickets before the event.

In order to win, just leave us a comment telling us what you’ll wear to the event. You’ve seen our suggestions, now we wanna see yours! Leopardskin for Smash Malice? Or pink & red for Brutal Pageant?

(Also, holy crap, what am I going to wear? I feel I have set the bar very very high…)

Sadly I don’t have anything fun or colourful to wear but if I won the tickets I would use it as an excuse to go buy something fun, colourful and definitely RED!

  2. kathy says:

I would wear all leopard print. I’m thinking swimwear with fishnets and some kind of trashy heels. Woo Woo, red lipstick!

I don’t need the tickets, but for the record, I am wearing
    This
with (hopefully) a pink shrug I am wearing, jeans and some hot as heels.

I have an incredible red and black leopard print dress with a zip right up the front. I’m thinking that, leather jacket and studded shoes. And the mohawk, of course. It’ll be major.

    Melissa: we do love enabling.

Kathy: I can’t wait to see it.

Megan: I wanna see that corset on you, stat!

Laura: Red AND leopard? Way to play for both teams!

I was just doing some brainstorming for an outfit/entry (as you do) and came out with my derby name: Brakefast At Biffany’s.

TELL ME THIS ISN’T TAKEN!! omg omg

Ok I just checked on the International Roster, I think it’s a goer. Now if only I didn’t bruise like a peach…

    My entry:
“Strings of pearls and a simple black dress give an air of sophistication belying a complete inability to pledge allegiance between the derby teams. The classic updo will fall awry by the end of the night, as catcalls and yahooing take precedence to any sense of decorum. A pair of dark glasses attempt complete the look, hiding eyes that scan the raucous crowd. The danish pastry clutched in one hand provides sustenance for a night which proves to be a showdown unlike any other… This is Brakefast At Biffany’s”

hmmmm….I can’t walk in trashy heels and I don’t have the hair for a red dress – but I do have reflective shoes and blonde wig which might help me fit right in!

  10. The only leopard print I own is my pink and black slippers, so I guess I’m going to have to side with Brutal Pageant. :S

If my Sick For Cute doctors tee arrives I’ll definitely wear that and load up with pink accessories.
Otherwise it’ll be my Misery Miss Suga Suga tee. :]
