Around the time of our three-month party, I created us a signature cocktail called a Pretty Pretty Pretty, which is one part Parfait Amour shaken with two parts vanilla vodka and a drop of rosewater. It’s delicious made with the cheap VOK Parfait Amour, and I can only imagine how fantastic it would be made with the quality stuff from the Hawthorn Lounge.
It turns out that we’re not the only ones who like dressing up and drinking violets. I just saw that Dita Von Teese has been working with Cointreau on a series called Cointreauversial, and as part of that she (or some anonymous mixologist) has created a drink called Cointreau Teese. It’s made with apple juice, Cointreau and violet syrup, and rimmed (heh heh heh) with ginger sugar. Oh it looks so very pretty. I want one right now!
